Role
Product Design Lead & UX/UI Designer
Designing a mobile application that helps plant owners organize plant care through personalized reminders, plant identification, educational content, and community features while creating a scalable product ecosystem and brand identity.

Outcome
Planti transformed an early product concept into a validated mobile application supported by research, branding, interaction design, and usability testing. The project established a scalable design foundation while creating a user-friendly experience that simplifies everyday plant care.
Final Impact
The project successfully translated user research into a complete product concept ready for development. A scalable Design System, validated interaction patterns, and a consistent visual identity created a strong foundation for future product growth while addressing real user needs around plant care and engagement.
Challenges
Creating a completely new product required balancing business objectives with the everyday needs of plant owners while defining the product strategy from scratch.
The biggest challenges included designing intuitive reminder flows, reducing users dependence on external plant resources, organizing complex plant information into a scalable structure and creating a complete visual identity alongside the product experience.
Objectives
The primary objective was to design a complete mobile product that helps users care for their plants effortlessly. The project focused on validating user needs, simplifying plant care routines, creating an engaging community experience and building a scalable Design System that could support future product growth.
Process
Research & Analysis
The project started with market research, competitive benchmarking, user interviews and assumption validation to understand how people currently organize plant care and where they experience the greatest frustrations.
Research revealed that users frequently forgot watering schedules, struggled to find reliable plant information and wanted a centralized platform that combined education, reminders and community interaction.
Strategy
Research findings were translated into product opportunities through POV statements and How Might We workshops. Product goals were prioritized around reducing cognitive effort, simplifying plant management and supporting long-term engagement.
The resulting strategy focused on personalized reminders, flexible plant discovery, educational content and scalable information architecture.
Ideation
During ideation I explored multiple interaction models before creating user flows, low-fidelity wireframes and complete high-fidelity interfaces.
At the same time I developed the application's branding, visual language, Design System and reusable UI components to ensure consistency across the entire product.
Validation
Interactive prototypes were evaluated through moderated usability testing with target users.
Testing validated the reminder concept, navigation structure and plant management workflows while identifying several opportunities to simplify onboarding and improve interaction clarity before development.
Final thoughts
Planti demonstrated how user research, branding and product strategy can work together to transform an initial concept into a validated digital product. Beyond designing the interface, I led the entire product design process - from discovery and strategy to Design System creation, prototype validation and product vision.
